Information We Collect

We collect account information from Google sign-in; privacy choices; optional site usage analytics; community votes; public research questions; followed stocks and traders; user-shared investment activity posts; manually entered portfolio holdings; and broker connection requests. Optional analytics may include page path, feature or entity viewed, device class, signed-in user ID, and a pseudonymous visitor identifier derived from network and browser information. Broker login credentials are not collected or stored by The Hedge Book.

How We Use Information

We use necessary information to operate and secure the service, maintain sign-in, honor privacy choices, prevent abuse and duplicate community votes, deliver requested features and notifications, and respond to support or legal requests. With consent, we use analytics to measure product engagement and improve public pages. Google AdSense advertising storage and personalization are disabled by default and activate only on eligible public pages after the visitor makes the applicable choice.

Cookies And Privacy Choices

Necessary cookies support sign-in, security, and saved privacy choices. Analytics and advertising storage are optional. Visitors can accept, reject, or change optional uses at any time through Privacy choices. Withdrawing consent affects future collection and does not invalidate processing that occurred while consent was active.

Advertising Boundaries

We do not use portfolio holdings, portfolio value, trades, broker information, private briefings, personal financial circumstances, or account-support information to select advertisements. Advertising is limited to eligible public research and educational pages. Account, portfolio, profile, notification, administration, privacy, support, and deletion pages are excluded. Contextual advertising may use the subject of a public page without building a profile about the visitor.

Advertising Providers

Google AdSense is our active advertising provider on eligible public pages. When advertising consent is granted, Google may process device identifiers, cookies, IP address, browser information, page context, ad interactions, and consent signals to select, deliver, measure, secure, and report advertising according to the visitor's choices. Google acts under its own terms and privacy practices. Where required, a certified consent-management platform transmits choices to participating vendors. Retention

Optional analytics events are retained for up to 13 months. Consent audit records are retained for up to 36 months so we can demonstrate and honor privacy choices. Account, portfolio, community, support, security, and legal records are retained only for their stated purpose, applicable obligations, dispute resolution, or abuse prevention, then deleted or anonymized where technically feasible. Routine backups may expire on a separate limited schedule.

Your Rights

Depending on location, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or certain profiling. We verify requests before disclosing or deleting account data and do not discriminate for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Community Research Questions

Questions submitted to Community Research Q&A and the related answers are public and searchable. Users should not include private portfolio details, account numbers, broker data, personal financial circumstances, or other sensitive information in public questions.

Social Activity

Users may choose to share investment activity or trade ideas with followers or everyone. The Hedge Book does not automatically share broker data, portfolio holdings, account balances, or trading-account activity.

Portfolio And Broker Data

Manual portfolio holdings are stored for the signed-in user. Future broker connections must be read-only, user-consented, revocable, and enabled only through approved providers where legally and technically supported.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Personalized advertising is not enabled for users known to be under 18. Contact us to report information submitted by a child.

International And Legal Updates

Privacy requirements differ by location and change over time. We use region-appropriate notices and controls where configured, monitor material changes, and update this policy or obtain renewed consent when required. A material new use of previously collected information will not be applied without the notice or permission required by applicable law.
