How the pieces fit together

Why The Hedge Book exists

Fundamental Picks

What ValueBook does

ValueBook is a model-driven research screen. It ranks companies using available valuation, cash generation, balance-sheet quality, and growth-adjusted value inputs.

  • Value ScoreA relative score for comparing names in the model universe—not a prediction or buy rating.
  • Lower / Upper ReferenceModel reference levels used to identify candidates or potentially stretched prices.
  • Deep Value PassA stricter valuation filter; a pass still requires independent review.

Stock Monitors

What a daily brief does

Each stock page organizes the research process around what changed, why it matters, risks, catalysts, sources, AI View, Community View, confidence, and Hedge Score.

Hedge Score summarizes the strength and balance of the current evidence. It is not a price target, probability, or instruction to trade.

Following Stocks

What happens when you follow

  1. Sign in and press Follow on a stock page or in Markets.
  2. The stock is added to your private My Stocks watchlist.
  3. Daily research and material changes are collected for followed names.
  4. When email is enabled, your morning watchlist digest is sent around 9:30 AM Central.

You can unfollow at any time. Following does not place trades or connect a broker account.

Technical Analysis

What the chart lab provides

Outright charts study one security. Spread charts compare a dollar amount long one security with a dollar amount short another. Both provide trend, momentum, volatility, drawdown, support, resistance, and correlation context.

It is a market-structure tool, not a signal service or personalized trading plan.

Portfolio Analysis

What Portfolio provides

Add positions manually or connect an approved read-only data path when available. Portfolio converts positions into allocation, concentration, exposure, risk estimates, stress scenarios, research coverage, and a portfolio score.

Portfolio Score is about portfolio construction and risk balance; it is different from a stock Hedge Score.

Community

How to ask useful questions

Ask general research questions or use the correct listed ticker with a dollar sign, such as $AAPL. Community answers are evidence-grounded research, not personalized advice. Votes show sentiment, not verified facts.

Open Community

Recommended first session

Open Markets, select one company, read its stock monitor, press Follow, then visit My Stocks to see your watchlist workflow. Once that makes sense, try ValueBook for model-based screening and Technical Analysis for chart studies.
